Job description

Reporting into one of our Home Fraud Team Leaders, you'll be tackling a mix of suspected fraudulent claims across contents and buildings insurance. You will work closely with our Operational Teams, Suppliers, and wider Fraud Teams to identify and respond to fraudulent claims. Your goal will be to support Hastings Direct in delivering a market-leading fraud defence for Household/Home Claims, a business area that has expanded exponentially over the past 12 months.

  1. Conduct detailed reviews of newly identified claims of concern, providing guidance and feedback to the wider Claims teams.
  2. Investigate claims suspected of fraud.
  3. Perform desktop investigations, formal interviews, liaise with suppliers, and utilize intelligence solutions systems.
  4. Support the design of relevant fraud processes.
  5. Act as a technical referral point for Home Claims Handlers to support fraud identification.
  6. Possess a technical fraud background within insurance or strong experience with household/home/property claims.
  7. Have a strong overall claims understanding, familiar with the end-to-end claims journey.
  8. Be capable of making decisions, challenging the status quo, and engaging with a varied audience using strong communication skills.
