Job summary

A construction staffing firm in Camden is seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter to carry out essential fire safety works across council properties. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with fire doors, a strong understanding of fire safety standards, and a proactive mindset. Responsibilities include fitting fire doors, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with British Standards. This is a full-time role with 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with fire doors and components.

  • Full UK driving licence (van provided).

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

We are seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter to support a peak in project workload. This role involves carrying out essential fire safety works across council properties, ensuring compliance with British Standards and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting new fire doors, repairing frames, and upgrading existing doors.
  • Installing electrical enclosures and fire-related plasterboard.
  • Carrying out fire stopping works in line with regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing minor administration tasks.
  • Working to the highest quality standards with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience working with fire doors and components.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety standards and British Standards.
  • Full UK driving licence (van provided).
  • Ability to work independently with an innovative and proactive mindset.
