An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fostering Administrator / Business Support Coordinator to join Five Rivers Child Care on a fixed-term maternity contract. The Midlands Business Support Team works cohesively across the service. We are a friendly, hardworking team that enjoys working alongside our social workers and fostering support worker colleagues. This role is based in our Bromsgrove office. Our Trauma‑Informed (ATIC) model integrates our Fostering, Residential, Clinical, and Education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

Your job will include:

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the CHARMS database to ensure compliance
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries
  • Processing regular checks for present foster carers and children
  • Processing financial claims, liaising with the finance team
  • Organising room bookings
  • Attending monthly meetings and taking minutes
  • Ensuring Five Rivers policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Any additional administrative tasks or projects may be required by the business or fostering managers
Qualifications and experience
  • The desire to be a team player who wants to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our children and foster carers
  • Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people in social care (preferable)
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills plus knowledge of PowerPoint
  • The ability to handle complex situations
  • Proven organisation skills and time management
  • A valid driving licence

This is a full‑time role. Office hours are Monday to Thursday 9am‑5pm, Friday 9am‑16:30pm.
