A leading UK healthcare provider is seeking a Nurse or Paramedic to work in custody suites, providing essential healthcare to detainees. The role requires at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, and the candidate must have HCPC/NMC registration and a driving licence. We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs, or Paramedics with 2 years' post qualification experience, who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team who has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic and wider skills. You must have the flexibly work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you will be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.
