Overview

OctoberEnd Date: The florist position will be a temporary role over the seasonal period until the end of December 2025. Availability Required: Our ideal candidate would have availability to work on two days during the week as well as Saturday and Sunday, but you would only work Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers, aiming to make them feel like VIPs and ensuring they leave with a positive impression.
  • Create, build and wrap bespoke and handmade bouquets; bring creativity into bouquet building.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop bespoke bouquets, sometimes under time pressure.
  • Keep flower displays fresh, healthy and attractive; rotate stock according to shelf life.
  • Manage high volumes of customers during peak trading times.
  • Process and manage flower deliveries and understand flower conditioning needs.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy flowers area; support the head florist with workshops and wider shop floor needs.
  • Greet customers warmly and direct them to appropriate areas to facilitate a smooth customer journey.
  • Recognise and respond to customer interest in flowers; experience of wreath building is preferred.
  • Experience with dried flowers/dried products; experience with flower crown making and hair braiding is desirable.
Qualifications, Skills & Expertise
  • Experience of working with flowers and understanding of different flowers and their care needs.
  • Ability to build attractive and creative bouquets of all sizes; capable of preparing pre-made bouquets for display.
  • Ability to recognise when flowers are past freshness and rotate stock; able to prepare flowers for drying.
  • Strong customer experience skills and commitment to delivering exceptional service; ability to foster a positive store environment.
