Flexible Nursery Assistant (Wakefield)

About the Role

Are you looking for flexible hours where you can pick your own schedule? Do you have previous experience caring for young children from either a work placement or babysitting? Are you passionate about helping children learn and develop new skills? TeacherActive is currently searching for flexible Nursery Assistants to provide day‑to‑day cover for nurseries across Wakefield. The role would be ideal for those who are currently wanting part‑time roles around their college or university studies, and are looking to gain experience working with young children within the Early Years sector.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Be eager to learn new skills and gain new knowledge of the Early Years sector.
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare extremely desirable, but not essential.
• Be enthusiastic about undergoing various training in different areas of the Early Years, such as Safeguarding and the EYFS Curriculum.
• Have a caring and positive approach to working with young children.
• Previous experience caring for children under 5.
