A local government authority in Edinburgh is seeking a Flexible Cleaning Operative. This position involves maintaining cleanliness across school facilities, including floors and washrooms, and may include emergency cleaning tasks. Working hours are flexible and part-time, ensuring that your role fits well with your lifestyle. Salary: £25,322 - £25,623 (pro rata for part time). Hours: 20 per week, 52 weeks, Monday – Friday 4pm–8pm.
As a cleaner with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of the Facilities Management team, delivering a vital cleaning service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe and clean places to work or learn.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent ≥3 months abroad in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement will be subject to both checks being satisfactory.
