Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent, full time – 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off rotation

As a Fleet Tender Master in our Maritime team supporting Marine Scotland, you’ll take command of vessel operations, ensuring safety, compliance and performance at sea while leading colleagues with professionalism and care.

This role plays a vital part in protecting coastal environments, supporting safe maritime operations and delivering trusted services that matter. Your decisions, leadership and expertise will have a real and positive impact on communities and marine environments across Scotland.

What you’ll do as a Fleet Tender Master

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Operate vessels safely, efficiently and in line with Flag State and Class standards
  • Take overall responsibility for the safety of the vessel, crew and cargo, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations including STCW95, MARPOL and COLREGs
  • Manage navigation, manoeuvring, mooring and towing activities to the highest professional standards
  • Lead, train and develop crew members, including supporting orientation, drills, performance reviews and wellbeing
  • Oversee vessel administration, planned maintenance and defect reporting to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, operations teams and senior management
