Qualifications

Job Description

We’re looking for a Fire Safety Advisor to join the SZC Site Delivery team and help shape a safe and compliant environment for all site operations. Work at the heart of a major project and make a real impact on safety performance.

Location & Contract

• Sizewell C, Leiston (site‑based – onsite 5 days a week)
• Contract: Permanent, full‑time
• Salary: circa £55,000 per annum, plus benefits

• Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays
• Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of fire safety arrangements across all site assets, ensuring compliance at every stage of the asset lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders to promote adherence to fire safety standards and legal requirements.
• Actively participate in delivering the site fire safety strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Essential: Minimum of a Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety (Fire Auditors). NEBOSH Fire Risk Assessment Certificate or equivalent. Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or an equivalent professional body.
• Desirable: Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety (Fire Inspectors). Experience as an Inspecting Officer. Experience in construction environments. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or European equivalent. Chartered membership of IOSH or equivalent.
