Job description

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing, and developing a team of fire damper testing and inspection engineers.
• Overseeing fire damper testing and inspection across various types of buildings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high standards of quality.
• Providing technical guidance on fire damper systems and relevant building regulations, including BS 9999 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Supporting business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and managing client presentations and report debriefs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire damper testing or a related area, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Management (IFSM) with qualifications in Fire Damper Testing and Inspection and Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection.
• Excellent knowledge of fire safety legislation including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, Building Safety Act 2022, and British Standards (BS 9999, BS EN 1366‑2, BS EN 15650).
• Strong technical understanding of fire damper systems and building services, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills with proficiency in MS Office and business management software.
