Job description

We are looking for a Fire and Security Engineer or Electrician to join our family run company based in Banwell, North Somerset. Multi‑Security UK Ltd has over 30 years experience in this industry and we are SSAIB registered. We work with both commercial and residential clients across the whole of the Southwest of England and South Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and maintenance of Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems
  • Installation and maintenance of CCTV – Analogue and IP
  • Installation and maintenance of Door Access Control Systems
  • Installation and maintenance of Fire Extinguishers and Emergency Lights
Working Conditions
  • Job Title: Fire and Security Engineer or Electrician
  • Working Days: Monday – Friday (may require the odd Saturday with substantial notice but will be compensated extra)
  • Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 – to be on site by 09:00 or report to office
  • Holiday allowance: 28 days per calendar year (including Bank Holidays); January to December cycle – company closes between Christmas and New Year and shares calls that week to suit everyone
  • On‑call: One week in four (can be swapped amongst staff if your week does not suit)
  • No overnight stays (unless rarely required with substantial notice)

  • Fire: C‑Tec, Fike, Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Kentec, Protec and addressable/conventional systems
  • Intruder: Pyronix, Orisec, Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Risco and Menvier
  • CCTV: Dahua, QVIS and service analogue systems
  • Access Control: Paxton, Videx and ACET
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in this type of industry
  • Clean UK driver’s licence
  • Qualified electrician (for the electrician post)
Desirable Qualifications
  • FIA knowledge/experience, BAFE portable fire extinguisher certificate, FIA or equivalent certificates in fire alarm installation
  • BAFE knowledge/qualifications, SSAIB knowledge/experience, working at height and ladder safety certificate
