A leading insurance provider in Stratford-upon-Avon is looking for a Non-Advised Sales Consultant. This role involves engaging with customers, supporting sales, and discussing financial services. Candidates should have a minimum 2:2 degree classification and excellent relationship-building skills. The position offers a competitive salary, mentoring, and pathways to career development.
In your first twelve months, you’ll kick off your journey with our Head Office Teams where you’ll learn how to engage with customers and handle their enquiries. This is the perfect starting point to get to know our customers, products, and processes. After that, you’ll spend time on the road supporting our Sales Managers with lead generation, and you may have the chance to work in one of our local branches shadowing a Financial Advisor to see what the role involves. There’ll be ad-hoc travel during the first year. Throughout the scheme, you’ll gain experience in various departments to understand the Financial Services strategy.
In your final year, you’ll step into the role of a Non-Advised Sales Consultant, reaching out to NFU Mutual customers to discuss our Financial Services offerings. This fast-paced role will sharpen your sales skills and deepen your product knowledge, providing a strong foundation if you’re aiming to become a Financial Advisor. You’ll also have opportunities to take on project work, such as supporting our Agency Network with upcoming changes (regulatory, systems, or processes). You’ll receive support as you work towards your Diploma in Financial Planning, ensuring you are well prepared for your career ahead.
Your future throughout the scheme includes strengthening core insurance skills, earning CII qualifications, and developing essential competencies to set you up for a successful career. You’ll be supported with a dedicated buddy and mentor, plus a network of current and former graduates. As you near the end of the scheme, a careers coach will help guide your next steps. We encourage graduates to get involved in extracurricular activities, including volunteering, organising charity or social events, and representing NFU Mutual at industry events, all within our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework.
Our entry requirement is a minimum degree classification of 2:2, either obtained or in progress. You don’t need a degree in a particular field; we value your passion for learning, curiosity, and potential. For our Financial Service Advisory schemes, we’ll also be looking for:
If you can demonstrate these qualities, we can teach you the rest regardless of your degree discipline.
Work experience If you’ve gained industry experience or completed a placement year during your degree, that’s great. It’s not a requirement for the scheme, but we do ask for some previous work experience where you’ve had opportunities to interact with people.
