A property management company in Manchester is seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance operations and reporting. The role involves managing month-end accounts, developing finance strategies, and supporting senior management. Ideal candidates should possess a UK accounting qualification, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate across all levels. This is a hybrid position with competitive benefits, including a salary of up to £70,000 and opportunities for career progression.
As the Financial Controller, you will be a key part of the finance team with ambitious growth plans and a real desire to drive value creation through finance‑led reporting and insight. Working closely with the Finance Director and business leaders, you will manage the business’s core finance and reporting outputs and partner with the Build‑to‑Rent and Residential businesses. This role is varied and challenging, supporting a large (and growing) property management business. You will build strong relationships, drive improvements, and enjoy an environment that encourages development of skills, knowledge and experience with long‑term career progression. New ideas and initiatives are encouraged to shape the future of the business. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
As a Financial Controller within urbanbubble, you will play a crucial role ensuring that our operational colleagues have accurate, timely and financial and non‑financial information to enable robust decision‑making.
Whilst support will be provided to grow into the role, working alongside a high calibre and motivated team under the mentorship of the Finance Director, it is essential that the successful candidate is motivated by value creation and is excited by an entrepreneurial environment.
With these factors in mind, the role will suit a high calibre, ambitious and adaptable accountant with excellent technical skills and a strong desire to drive improvements in reporting, processes and controls as well as wider business improvements. Exposure to a fast‑paced SME environment would also be a distinct advantage.
