Financial Controller (6 Month Fixed Term Contract – potential to be extended)

Radcliffe (Office Based)

Salary - £50,000 - £60,000

Axon Moore have an urgent requirement for an experienced Financial Controller to join there business for a circa of 6months (potential to be extended) and happy to look at candidates who are qualified or qualified by experience.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Divisional Finance Director and you will act as a part of the UK Senior Management team. You will lead and manage the UK business entities financial accounting, reporting, control activities and accounts payable team. Working closely with the UK FP&A team to inform and improve cash flow management and business planning processes, along with working closely with Group Finance to ensure consistent application of policies, reporting quality and adherence to timelines.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead, coach and develop the Finance team to ensure they have the skills and motivation to perform their roles. Responsibility for management accounts team and AP function (3 members)

Be responsible for all finance and accounting processes and reporting requirements to strict deadlines

Responsibility for delivery of all balance sheet reconciliations (final sign off)

Responsibility for fully integrated p&l to finance director for review

Oversee compliance with the established finance processes and controls related to internal / external reporting

Ensure compliance with the applicable GAAP

Oversee team interaction with annual audit(s) ensuring timely provision of information

Understand VAT reporting requirements including Standard, partial exemption and reverse charge VAT mechanisms

Understanding of transfer pricing for intercompany sales

Support / deliver Group Finance Operations / Corporate Governance requirements

Work closely with FP&A team to improve quality of budgeting and forecasting activities

Work with UK payroll to promptly validate and approve monthly payrolls

Ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making

Weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting

Commercial business partnering with the MD

Business partnering with various senior stakeholders around the business

Responsible for development of best-in‑class processes and controls, working closing with the businesses ICT function
