Job summary

A waste management company in High Wycombe is seeking a Financial Analyst to assist with month-end accounts, support financial controls, and analyze performance trends. Qualifications

  • Studying towards either ACCA or CIMA (study support is available).

Job description
Overview

The Financial Analyst role is integral to the success of the Divisional Accounting team helping to drive the TOM strategy through developing a standardised approach to cost accounting postings and processes across all the Divisions whilst also implementing new processes and improving appropriate controls.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of month end accounts to meet internal reporting deadlines and agreed SLAs with Finance end users.
  • Support and drive query resolution for any issues that arise.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the development of financial controls, processes and disciplines. Support the Head of Divisional Accounting in ongoing monitoring and improvements to the control environment.
  • Provide support in analysing current and past trends in key performance areas with a view to monitoring performance, highlighting trends and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Assist with preparation of data inputs for budgets and forecasts.
