Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join the Finance & Control team at a highly prestigious private bank, based in the heart of London. This role offers the chance to work on complex financial instruments and treasury portfolios, playing a key part in delivering accurate statutory reporting and supporting critical finance processes within a dynamic banking environment.

Duties of the Financial Accountant to include:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate statutory accounts and financial statements in line with accounting standards (FRS 102).
  • Lead year-end processes, including audit preparation and acting as a key liaison with external auditors.
  • Manage accounting for financial instruments, including bonds and derivatives, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Support Treasury on two main portfolios and contribute to financial control and product control activities.
  • Maintain and enhance ledger systems, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and control processes.
  • Use data tools to support analysis and reporting (SQL experience highly desirable).
Requirements for the successful Financial Accountant to include:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 6–8 years’ experience.

  • Proven experience in statutory reporting, audit coordination, and treasury-related activities.
