Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Financial Accountant in Portsmouth for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on supporting the financial control team during a busy systems implementation period. Responsibilities include aiding audits, reporting, risk management, and providing technical support. Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong time management skills. Previous experience in corporation tax filings and finance system projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in filing corporation tax and company filings is preferred.
• Experience of a Finance System implementation project is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support with internal and external audits by providing timely requests.
• Work with external parties for timely reporting.
• Provide month end reporting of intragroup balances.
• Support on risk management with key stakeholders.
• Review month end reporting from team members.
• Provide technical accounting support.
• Gather notes for new processes from the new finance system.
• Ensure completion of corporation tax returns.
• Support the Financial Reporting Lead on projects.
