Hybrid Working- 2 days working from home

Location: Manchester City Centre/Hybrid

Agility is delighted to be working with a leading global education service and learning solutions provider who due to the growth of the business is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their friendly team.

This company works internationally focusing on giving educators a new way to inspire their students. They work in a range of sectors including public, private, and not-for-profit organisations, and have delivered support to communities in more than 30 countries worldwide.

The role of the financial accountant is to help drive continuous improvement in financial and accountant control. You will be acting as the consultant for senior managers to guarantee accurate calculations with costs/revenue analysis and examine the economic stability of the business providing a thorough report for all tasks carried out.

What you will be doing:

  • Full control of the purchase ledger process
  • Initiate invoicing process
  • Chase outstanding invoices
  • Oversee credit card expenditure
  • Assist with monthly payroll
  • Manage employee expenses
  • Carry out weekly bank recs across four bank accounts
  • Assist with prepayments, accruals, payroll journals and depreciation.
  • Assist the UK and International teams to complete their external audits
  • Liaising with senior managers with analysis of revenue/costs used in the business.
  • Collecting and analysing data on cash flow of the business.
  • Be proactive in recognising and addressing areas of assistance that partners and clients require.

About you:

  • Fully qualified with a BSc degree in Accounting, finance, or relevant field
  • Proven 2+ years of experience in an Accounting/finance environment
  • Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly and effectively establish credibility and build relationships.
  • Innovative, with the ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Strong communication skills, including spoken and written communications.

  • Starting salary up to £32,000
