This role requires a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong financial reporting, tax compliance, and management accounting experience. Job description

White Horse is partnering with a well-known family-run organisation, looking for a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant, looking for a broad and all-encompassing finance role.

This is a broad role, encompassing a wide variety of duties, and will see you responsible for the following:

The Role
  • Own the finances for two group entities.
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, supported by an Assistant Management Accountant.
  • Lead month-end, improve efficiency, and support costing and scenario planning projects.
  • Keep balance sheets clean and highlight risks/opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of financial legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Act as the point of contact for VAT, duty and tax on import/export activity.
  • Oversee entity budgets and support group budget consolidation.
  • Strengthen controls, ensure GDPR compliance, and drive process improvements.
  • Produce monthly KPIs with clear commentary and recommendations.
  • Support finance and wider business projects as needed.
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong financial reporting, tax/duty and management accounting experience (industrial/manufacturing/FMCG preferred).
  • Solid understanding of IFRS/FRS.
  • Confident communicator able to simplify complex financials for stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong systems knowledge.
  • Stock accounting experience is a bonus.
  • Organised, hands-on, and motivated by continuous improvement.
