As a practitioner in our Business Finance practise, you'll play a key role in delivering impactful solutions, founded on Finance expertise and utilising technology. We have four core offerings: Strategy, Reporting and Data; Close and Consolidation; Planning and Profitability; and Business Partnering and Decision Support. We are looking for individuals with Finance expertise to collaborate with a wider project team on client engagements, contributing your skills to one of these key areas.

Candidates will have experience and demonstrate expertise in a selection of the following areas:

Role Scope
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of Business Finance transformations, encompassing management reporting, performance management, planning, budgeting & forecasting, and close and consolidation process for our strategic client accounts.
  • Perform detailed commercial financial analysis to support Business Case development and benefits realisation; evaluate strategic options and offer Business Partnering insights ahead of key investment decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement to thoroughly understand and document client needs for reporting design, business cases, data structures, planning processes, consolidation solutions, and overall system architecture.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to develop EPM solutions utilising leading technologies such as Oracle EPM, Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik, SAP EPM, Workday, Pigment, or Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Seek opportunity to innovate with clients and BigTech alliances, including hyper-scalers to embrace AI and future innovation.
  • Leverage your expertise in FP&A and EPM systems to ensure alignment between client needs and leading practices.
  • Identify and develop data-driven performance improvement initiatives, driving an insight-driven mindset across client functions.
Client & Project Management
  • Effectively respond to and manage client expectations, advising on leading practices across Business Finance.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including monitoring progress, risks, and issues
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, leveraging available resources, experience, and standard methodologies, including AI capabilities where appropriate.
  • Work effectively within diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the Business Finance offerings, aligning with Deloitte's thought leadership.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client relationship management, demonstrating market awareness and client needs understanding.

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to clearly present and develop high-quality deliverables, demonstrating strong critical thinking and storytelling skills.
  • Proven experience in at least one of our offerings (Strategy, Reporting and Data; Close and Consolidation; Planning and Profitability; and Business Partnering and Decision Support) within management consulting or equivalent experience in industry.
  • A track record of successfully owning and managing project tasks, effectively engaging and influencing finance or wider business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A proven ability to work effectively in diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification (or part-qualified).
  • Experience with at least one of our technology enabler tools (Oracle EPM, Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik, SAP EPM, Workday, Pigment, or Microsoft Power BI).
  • Familiarity with key ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong understanding of and practical experience with statutory accounting processes and IFRS.
