Finance Operations Accountant

West End

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum

A leading Central London property investor and developer is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant to join their Finance Operations team.

This role ensures the accuracy and control of high-volume property finance data, including rents, service charges, billing, and other operational transactions. You will work closely with the Finance Operations Manager and Lead to keep data clean, resolve issues, strengthen financial controls, and support operational decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and periodic control checks, reconciliations, and validations across large datasets.
  • Monitor finance operational KPIs, identifying anomalies, exceptions, and emerging trends.
  • Analyse transactional data to support operational decision-making and finance-led projects.
  • Work alongside the Finance Operations Lead to strengthen financial controls and ensure process compliance.
  • Support service charge reporting, including data checks, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Assist with year-end activities including data extraction, reconciliations, audit support, and evidence packs.
  • Maintain clear, auditable process documentation and ensure data outputs are accurate and complete.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to improve reporting, data quality, and control frameworks.
  • Help resolve day-to-day operational issues and elevate risks where necessary.
Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience in finance operations, property accounting, service charge accounting, audit, or financial data control.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience handling high-volume transactional data.
  • Excellent Excel skills; strong system literacy and familiarity with ERP/finance systems (Excel test at interview).
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and audit principles.
  • Confident communicator able to explain data insights to both finance and non-finance teams.
  • Highly organised, detail-driven, and methodical in approach.
  • AAT qualified and/or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (finalists welcome).
  • Property or service charge experience
Other Details

Location: Mayfair, 2 days work from home / week

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
