HOURS: Full time 37.5 hours Mon to Thurs 8.30am – 5pm Fri 8.30am – 3.45pm

JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Finance Officer who has minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Finance role. We are ideally looking for someone with AAT or other accounting qualifications, if not must have the equivalent evidence of practical experience. This is a brilliant role to suit someone who has relevant finance and accounts experience within an office. Our client delivers a positive customer service experience at every stage from quotation to delivery and the finance team sits in the centre of all operations to ensure this service is maintained at all times. It is a lovely place to work, within a very friendly and supportive team who all work towards to same goals.

Role profile

This role will be varied, and duties include dealing with ledgers, projects and fleet. In this role, you will work closely with Team members and with other departments maintaining ledgers, processing transactions onto the in-house finance and expenses systems, assisting the FC with monthly reporting and with various tax and compliance reports, as well as ad hoc tasks such as managing the company car fleet.

  • VAT return preparation
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Processing various transactions across all ledgers
  • Credit control duties
  • Working with external auditors with the FC
  • Online banking and bank statement/reconciliations
  • Managing fleet operations, including maintenance and repairs
  • Post Brexit Customs paperwork tasks
  • Expense processing
  • Other finance and general duties as required
Person profile
  • Previous finance experience
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting / finance
  • Ability to work well collaboratively both in the Finance Team and with other departments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experienced in accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • AAT or other accounting qualifications or equivalent evidence of practical experience
