Qualifications

  • Accountancy Qualification or be in the Final Stage of an Accountancy Qualification.
  • Previous experience in the housing sector or similar is advantageous.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft office.

What is the role?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Finance Team. This role typically reports to the Divisional Finance Director. The purpose of the role is to provide an effective financial support function to the local senior management team and actively participate in the decision making and evaluation processes, whilst ensuring all Group reporting requirements are achieved.

What You’ll Do As a Finance Manager
  • Management and responsibility of all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the regional business ensuring that all Group reporting deadlines are met.
  • Attend and provide input at all local company Board meetings and Valuation Review meetings held bi-monthly throughout the year.
  • Provide financial assistance and decision-making support to the regional management team.
  • Supervision of a small team of accounts staff to make sure that routine transaction processing and monthly payment routines all meet Group deadlines and adhere to Group prompt payment policies.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and adhere to Group financial procedures ensuring consistent, accurate and robust accounting information produced.
  • Review and challenge site valuations cost to complete forecasts which act as a key control of the business.
  • Quality assurance of all VAT and SDLT/LBTT payments made in connection with land purchases and sales.
  • Understanding of P11d reporting requirements, PAYE settlement agreements and CIS.
  • To ensure a thorough understanding of the systems, particularly COINS and ensure the integrity of the data processed and held.
What experience do I need?
