Job summary

A Kendal based recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting and management. Overview

Part of a larger Group, a Kendal based business is looking to recruit a new Finance Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a number 2 finance role, reporting to a highly experienced Finance Director. With many areas to add value, this role includes a variety of business partnering and commercial input alongside routine accounting duties such as month end and reporting.

This role is based on site, with 1 day per week working from home.

Your New Role as Finance Manager
  • Production of the monthly management accounts and board pack
  • Provision of ad hoc analysis and reports to aid effective decision making
  • Working cross-functionally across departments, providing advice to various stakeholders to deliver financial insight and challenge where appropriate
  • Input to the year end statutory accounting process
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Overseeing 2 members of staff in the finance team
  • Assist as needed with projects including an upcoming ERP implementation and improvement initiatives
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified or approaching full qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Excellent Excel skills are required as you will be required to handle and manipulate complex data sets. Additionally, strong communication skills are imperative as you will be required to liaise with various stakeholders within the business at all levels, including non-finance staff.
