A leading logistics firm in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Finance professional to oversee financial performance reporting and support business partners. The ideal candidate should have strong management accounting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management. This full-time position requires a commitment to achieving defined objectives and service targets.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accounting professional or in final stages of qualification.
  • Prior proven experience in Management Accounting/business partnering.
  • Competent using Excel at advanced level and strong IT skills.
  • Confident communicating with all management levels.

  • Support financial performance reporting and controlling.
  • Manage inventory controls and forecasting of shipments.
  • Facilitate finance portfolio management and customer relationships.
  • Participate in monthly depot meetings to drive performance.

Job description

Supporting the Region (Director of Business Controlling and other budget holders) for the reporting and controlling of actual and budgeted financial performance at both a detailed and summary level.


Commercially aware and show a forward looking focus and business partnering / challenge to the business; value added reporting and business segment specialism.


We offer :

business segment expertise for New & Used Trucks and specialism within commercial and financial approval sign off for new orders pricing including Break Clauses and Li ion finance.


Inventory controls and forecasting of shipments.


Receivables Management including account reconciliations query resolutions and customer visits


Finance portfolio management including co-ordination of overdues invoice queries and customer relationships


the Budget and forecast process.

of business performance against monthly rolling forecasts for Sales EBIT and cash identifying and closing any gaps and improvements in accuracy. This will require working closely with operational teams


and approval process on overhead expenditure and truck buybacks


review of Balance sheet and support for the Provisions held and consistent process in line with total company guidelines.


part of business partnering / challenge to business there will be requirement to visit Customers and other Regions and Head office sites to attend as appropriate any steering forecasting business review meetings


participant in monthly depot meetings to drive performance and analysis of depot P&Ls After Sales Rentals New and Used trucks.


business commentary for Leadership and management team members to highlight business trends benchmarking and any risk to financial performance against budgets.


implement improvements of finance processes and systems in order to achieve an effective and efficient way of working consistently for achievement against defined objectives and service targets.


Tasks and Qualifications :


  • Qualified Accounting professional or in the final stages of working towards the qualification.

  • Prior proven experience in Management Accounting / business partnering

  • Competent using Excel at advanced level and strong IT skills

  • Confident communicating with all levels of Management to be able to represent the Finance department.
