Overview

Finance Business Partner – Shrewsbury – Temporary – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – Circa £40,000 - £45,000. Duration: until April 2026, possibly longer. The Finance Business Partner will be the key finance contact to assigned business areas, liaising regularly with budget holders on all financial matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide finance business partnering support for three separate sites
  • Act as the first point of contact on financial matters for the sites
  • Work with budget managers at the sites and the centralised area budget managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
  • Be assigned ad-hoc projects to continually improve the financial reporting and planning of the sites
  • Prepare and produce management accounts and variance analysis
  • Using Microsoft Excel, design and develop reporting packs, commentary and analysis for budget holders
  • Prepare annual budget and forecast process for the designated budget holders
  • Review and challenge budget assumptions to ensure the budgets onward submitted for consolidation are robust
  • Support the Management Accountant in the consolidation of the whole business budget and 5-year plan for submission
  • Ensure cost centres and approval flows are kept up to date with changes in budget holders and are set up to aid budget holders and managers in managing their finances and for reporting and analysis
  • Continual improvement of budget holders’ understanding of process and accounting for their areas
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a similar role
