YOUR ROLE

Our Ground & Rail finance team have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and data driven Finance Business Analyst to join their team, based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Reporting into the Finance Business Partner you will play a key part in analysing financial data, improving business processes and driving strategic decision-making.

Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Produce the annual budget with the assistant of the Business Analyst and operational management on site.
  • Approve weekly management accounts, ensuring that checks are conducted, and the result is agreed with the Finance Business Partner.
  • Improve profitability within the portfolio by challenging KPI performance with the account director / sites.
  • Production of client KPI’s and reporting for monthly / quarterly meetings.
  • Provide insightful and accurate information to all users of the Finance Performance Reports.
  • Ensure invoices are raising accurately in a timely manner.
  • Involvement in renewals and ICAP presentations for contracts.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have proven management accounts and financial reporting experience, ideally within a customer facing role. You will be highly numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data whilst identifying trends with the ability to positively influence decisions when needed.

You will be an excellent communicator able to explain complex issues and information to financial and non-financial colleagues.

Being CIMA or ACCA qualified would be desirable, however not essential.
