Are you an experienced Finance Assistant seeking a new permanent opportunity? Our client, based in Coulsdon, is looking for a skilled individual to join their busy finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid experience in Finance who is confident working with Sage software.

Job title: Finance Assistant

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE

Location: Coulsdon (Moving to Warlingham early 2026)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing / reconciling bank & balance sheet items.
• Drafting journals (accruals, prepayments).
• Pre‑checking transactions before the Finance Manager signs off.
• Helping with month‑end packs.
• Providing Accounts Payable cover during annual leave.
• Ambition to grow rather than stay purely transactional.

Requirements

• AAT L3 / L4 or early ACCA / CIMA, currently supporting a Finance Manager or Management Accountant.
• Proven experience using Sage accounting software.
• Previous background in a Finance Assistant or similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Good communication skills and a professional, proactive approach.
