Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Batley is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their Operations Finance Team. The successful candidate will support Finance Managers by providing financial data, conducting KPI reporting, and managing cost centers. Excellent Excel skills and P&L knowledge are essential. The role offers a hybrid working model, enabling flexibility and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in P&L and balance sheet postings and reconciliations.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the business from production to senior management level.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly Finance Summary: KPI Reporting, Financials and Cost Centre Analysis.
  • New Product Costings in SAP including calculation of recipe, packaging and labour costs.
  • Month-end Reconciliation of Copack Costings and Overheads.

Skills

Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot tables etc.)
Good standard Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
Good interpersonal skills / proactive

Overview

Location: Batley, GB • Place of Work: Hybrid • Employee Shift: Mon-Fri 37.5

About The Role

This is a key role within the Operations Finance Team, where the job holder will be supporting the Finance Managers for both Batley and Kirkham with providing financial data for key stakeholders across the business. Working autonomously within a fast-paced environment, the job holder will be expected to adapt to the versatile needs of the business and prioritise accordingly. As part of a continuous improvement culture, the job holder will actively look for opportunities to introduce process improvements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Weekly Finance Summary: KPI Reporting, Financials and Cost Centre Analysis
  • New Product Costings in SAP including calculation of recipe, packaging and labour costs
  • Master Data – Creation/Amendment of SKU’s in SAP
  • Posting Journals on SAP including Accruals and Prepayments
  • Month-end Reconciliation of Copack Costings and Overheads
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Support Finance Manager with Budgets and Forecasts
  • Adhoc requests for Financial Data/Reports from Key Stakeholders
