As a Finance Analytics Manager, you will play a central role in creation of the self‑serve analytical tools aimed to standardise the analysis of the organisation's financials and reconcile them against various external and internal reports. You will be an integral part in maximising the efficiency of various reporting and reconciliation tools, ensuring the financial reporting systems are working correctly. You will collaborate with multiple teams, including Finance & Strategy, FP&A, Data Science, to ensure the alignment between external and internal reporting, as well as Engineering, to ensure proper financial reporting support at launch of the new products and functionalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance financial visibility: through providing comprehensive Looker Dashboards and Explores that give stakeholders a clear view of financial data.
  • Drive Process Optimisation: Identify inefficiencies and promote automation to streamline financial reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Support Strategic Business Decisions: Offer descriptive, diagnostic and prescriptive analytics to guide long‑term planning and product development. At our core, we strive to make finance smarter, faster, and more impactful!
What you’ll be doing
  • Audit and Financial Reporting: Support regular internal and external audit requests. Perform month end close activities and identify areas where these can be automated or efficiency added. Create tools for the wider team to self‑serve their audit and financial reporting needs.
  • Data Discovery and Engagement: Identify and test the relevant data from various data sources. Exercise advanced knowledge of SQL to extract critical information and business value from data contained in multiple databases and formats.
  • Automation: Work closely with the Analytics Engineering team to automate and maintain financial journals including requesting, reviewing and signing off any changes to the Financial Reporting systems (GitHub). Continuous improvement of the analytical tools that provide insights into the monthly variance analysis of the P&L.
  • Documentation: Create documentation around both existing as well as newly introduced processes.
  • Ad‑hocs: Work on ad‑hoc requests from the financial reporting team as required.
Requirements
  • You will be ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualified.
  • Ability to work with large, complex and interlinked datasets to make balanced decisions.
  • Numerical literacy combined with a high level of business acumen.
  • Experience building robust datasets (in SQL) to support a variety of the analytical needs.
  • Willingness to have a diverse set of tasks, take responsibility and ‘own’ your work, with experience influencing stakeholders at senior levels, including non‑finance.
  • Advanced user of Excel. Looker and Alteryx experience is highly welcomed.
