Job summary

RES Limited in East England is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (field based) to conduct site surveys, agree system specifications with installers and homeowners, and produce on-site quotations for Air Source Heat Pump projects.

You will oversee MCS compliance, design calculations, and handovers, while providing remote technical support and building strong relationships with installing engineers. A company car and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• Heat Pumps: LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation.
• Compliance: G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and MCS standards knowledge.
• Technical experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
• Soft skills to translate technical data for non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, agree system specifications with installers and homeowners, produce on-site quotations, and commission Air Source Heat Pump systems.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using company tools; compile proposals and quotations for the sales team.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects, ensuring subcontracted installations comply with MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support, maintaining strong relationships with installers and acting as the technical contact.
