Job summary

RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a field-based role in East England. You will work with installers and homeowners to specify systems, produce on-site quotations, and commission Air Source Heat Pumps, with full training and support provided.

You will design room-by-room heat loss calculations, develop system designs and performance assessments, and compile proposals for the sales team, keeping accurate CRM records and ensuring project compliance across MCS standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 NVQ Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Heat pump design & installation qualification (LCL/BPEC) is required.
• Knowledge of MCS standards, G3 unvented hot water and WRAS beneficial.
• Proven experience with low-temperature hydraulic design and fault-finding.
• Ability to translate technical data for non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys and agree system specifications with installers/homeowners.
• Produce on-site quotations and commission air source heat pump systems; oversee handovers and remedial visits.
• Produce heat-loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using company tools; prepare proposals and quotations; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects to ensure compliance with standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support; maintain strong relationships with installers and act as a technical point of contact.
