Job summary

RES Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a field-based role covering East England. You will conduct technical site surveys, agree specifications with installers and homeowners, and produce quotations while commissioning Air Source Heat Pump systems.

You will ensure projects conform to MCS standards and Building Regulations and support installers with remote technical assistance. Based around East London/ Ipswich area with travel, you will translate technical data for non-technical

Qualifications

• Conduct on-site surveys and translate technical data for non-technical customers.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations and system designs using company tools.
• Ensure projects meet MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide remote technical support and maintain relationships with installers.

Responsibilities

• Conducting technical site surveys, agreeing system specifications with installers and homeowners, producing on-site quotations, commissioning Air Source Heat Pump systems, completing system handovers, and resolving technical issues through remedial visits.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using company design tools and established processes, with full training and technical support provided. Compile technical proposals and quotations for the sales team, ensuring accurate project records are maintained within the CRM system.
• Acting as the Nominated Technical Supervisor for all regional MCS projects, ensuring every subcontracted installation adheres to MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Providing phone-based and remote technical support, maintaining strong working relationships with assigned installers, and acting as a consistent technical point of contact.
