Job summary

RES-Distribution Ltd is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer for the East England region. You will conduct site surveys, specify systems with installers and homeowners, and produce quotations, commissioning heat pump systems and handing over projects.

You will design heat loss calculations, create proposals and manage CRM records; you’ll ensure MCS compliance and Building Regulations, providing remote support as needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
• Heat Pump design & installation (LCL/BPEC).
• G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS and MCS standards knowledge.
• Experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
• Consultative mindset with ability to translate technical data for customers.
• Willingness to travel; based around East London or Ipswich.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys, agree system specifications with installers/homeowners, produce on-site quotations, commission Air Source Heat Pump systems, complete system handovers and resolve issues through remedial visits.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using company tools; compile technical proposals and quotations and maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects, ensuring subcontracted installations meet MCS standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support and maintain relationships with installers as the technical contact.
