Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer in East England to survey sites, design heat pump systems, and handover projects to customers. You will prepare room-by-room designs, quotations, and ensure MCS compliance. A consultative, technically proficient approach is essential for success.

The role supports home installations with on-site visits, remote assistance, and close collaboration with installers. A company car and excellent benefits accompany this permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must hold plumbing/heating qualification and heat pump experience.
• Familiar with MCS standards and WRAS compliance.
• Ability to interpret technical data for customers.

Responsibilities

• Conducting site surveys, agreeing specs, producing on-site quotations, commissioning heat pump systems and handovers; resolve issues via remedial visits.
• Produce heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments; prepare proposals and quotes; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects; ensure installations meet Building Regulations.
• Provide phone/remote technical support and maintain relationships with installers as a technical contact.
