Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and install camera hardware across customer sites in the UK. The role involves on-site work, occasional overnight installations, and zero-hours casual contracts.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure adherence to KPIs while working nights and weekends when required. Applicants should have a valid UK driving licence, be comfortable with power tools, and travel to various sites.

Qualifications

• Proven field technician experience or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting ability for hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Must have physical stamina for long shifts and hands-on work.
• Excellent attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Ability to manage time and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team, and customers.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware and installations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records with provided tools.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Occasionally attend installations during night hours.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves and fixtures per plans.
• Operate power tools safely during installations.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
