Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations for our customers across the UK, with a focus on Manchester. This casual, zero-hours role combines on-site and on-the-road work to ensure smooth operation of our retail AI systems.

You will diagnose issues, use power tools, install hardware, and meet KPIs while sometimes working night or weekend shifts. A valid UK driving licence and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in related sectors such as installations or maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Physical stamina for up to 9 hours of work.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware and related systems.
• Diagnose issues, install, replace and configure components per standards.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records using company tools.
• Attend installations at client sites and support night-hour work as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and collaborate with team members.
