Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations for our retail AI platform across Leeds and surrounding areas. The role is a casual, zero-hours contract with work on customer sites and on the road.

You will diagnose and repair camera hardware, perform preventative maintenance, and install our systems according to plan. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to work nights and weekends are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in maintenance, installation or related work.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently.
• Physical stamina for long shifts and on-site work.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors and customers.
• Valid UK driving license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware; diagnose, install, configure.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of service activities using company tools.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Attend installations at various clients during night hours.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and equipment.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations.
• Ensure high attention to detail and KPI targets.
• Communicate progress updates to supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies.
