Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding across the UK and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician. You will maintain installations, diagnose issues, perform installations, and ensure upkeep of our camera hardware. The role may involve night/weekend work and travel to customer sites with a UK driving licence.

Strong tools proficiency and safety awareness are essential for meeting KPIs. Applicants should be physically fit, comfortable with occasional overnight work, and capable of documenting service

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installation/maintenance.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Experience using power tools for on-site installs.
• Good physical stamina for demanding tasks and hours.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware and systems.
• Diagnose issues, install, replace and configure equipment per standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to prevent faults.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet SLAs.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed, parts used and time spent.
• Assist with onboarding and scanning products into the system.
• Attend installations during night hours when required.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves and other surfaces.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and cooperate with team members.
• Document progress and communicate with supervisors regularly.
