Your Role as a Field Service & Calibration Engineer
  • You'll be field based, predominantly covering a region but with further UK travel as needed.
  • You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of this testing equipment and instrumentation.
    • Examples include impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, or torsion testing.
  • You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
  • You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained to UKAS standards.
  • Compile detailed reports as appropriate.
  • The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 - 2 per week.
Ideal Background for the Field Service & Calibration Engineer
  • Knowledge of one of the following is essential:
  1. Materials Testing equipment, either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab. Specifically on impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, or torsion testing.
  2. Service and calibration knowledge of load cells and connected systems such as checkweighers, weighbridges, or similar.
  • A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical, electrical, and fluid disciplines.
  • Approachable, honest, and a team player.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.
