Position: Field Service Engineer - Marine Engines & Generators

Location: Home-based (predominantly Scottish ports, occasional overseas travel)

Rate/Salary: Up to £39,500 + generous overtime (up to £100,000) and comprehensive company benefits

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend customer vessels or platforms as a representative of the company to service, repair, overhaul, install, or commission large marine diesel engines and generators.
  • Prepare jobs in advance, ensuring all equipment, spare parts, and documentation are available.
  • Write clear and precise reports of work completed.
  • Communicate any additional required work to management promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with, and potentially supervise, other engineers on-site.
  • Apply knowledge of engines, clutches, gearboxes, and ancillary marine equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Eligibility to travel freely within and outside the UK
  • Experience with medium and high-speed marine engines
  • UK passport holder
  • Previous experience in marine engine, clutch, gearbox, and ancillary equipment maintenance is highly desirable
