Job description

Are you a technically minded engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service? Our client are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Service Department, supporting a leading global provider of food production technology.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing specialist equipment, ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service.

What you’ll be doing
  • Service and install a wide range of food production equipment (including slicers, mincers, packaging systems, and associated software).
  • Carry out repairs on retail scales and investigate electrical, mechanical, and network‑related issues.
  • Deliver customer training on equipment use and best practice.
  • Manage and maintain effective stock levels of spare parts.
  • Ensure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
  • Complete all required administration, reports, and compliance documentation to a high standard.
  • Attend training courses and maintain up‑to‑date Health & Safety qualifications.
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours work and occasional overnight stays when required.
  • Support rollout and refit activities in line with business needs.
