Overview

Field Service Engineer (Electronic Systems) – Northfleet. £40,000-£45,000 DOE + Company Van + Bonuses + Holiday + Pension + Mon-Fri.

Are you a Field Service Engineer with a background in Electronic Systems or similar? You will join one of Kent's leading providers of two-way radio systems, hire, and repair services. The company supplies professional handheld radios and walkie-talkies, bespoke engineered systems, and large-scale radio network installations, with a reputation for quality, flexibility, and technical expertise. In this role you will be hands-on with the preparation and repair of radios destined for client deployment, as well as conducting on-site installations and maintenance. You will ensure equipment is configured, tested, and delivered to a high standard, supporting routine and urgent communications requirements for clients across a variety of sectors.

This role is ideal for a Field Service Engineer with Electronics experience and a practical, problem-solving mindset. If you enjoy working directly with customers, fixing things in the field, and being part of a high-performing team that takes pride in its service, this role offers great scope for personal and professional development.

The Role

• Design and develop electronic systems, with a focus on two-way radios and communication infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis, fault identification, and first-line repairs—both in-house and on-site.
• Work with Motorola and Hytera systems, handling configuration, optimisation, and integration.
• Maintain detailed documentation across design, testing, and modification phases of each project.

The Person

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Service Engineer background.
• Commutable to Northwest Kent.
