Job summary

Aptean in Leicester, UK is seeking an Associate Field Services Technician to join a busy European IT team. You will prepare and configure laptops, manage shipping for new hires, and provide hands-on break/fix support for hardware and software issues.

You will work on end-to-end hardware provisioning, contribute to acquisition integration projects, and build a knowledge base to improve team efficiency. Travel to support team needs is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of IT support experience in a hands-on role.
• Solid foundation in Windows OS and Office applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a physical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure new hardware (laptops/PCs) for incoming staff.
• Manage onboarding shipments and equipment provisioning.
• Provide break/fix support for hardware and software issues.
• Assist with equipment replacements to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to acquisition integration tasks as needed by EU team.
• Build and maintain a knowledge base for problem resolutions.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for desktop apps, printing, email, network, and remote access.
• Document processes and apply technical standards to ensure quality.
• Manage project tasks with prioritised deliverables and travel as required.
