A growing Fibre Broadband company is seeking a Field Engineer to support their full fibre network in Exeter. The role includes diverse responsibilities such as Break Fix work, fibre splicing, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should have a background in civils and telecommunications, with a driving license and the ability to troubleshoot network issues. The position offers a salary between £28,000 and £32,000, along with various employee benefits.
Already working in Telecoms but looking to work for the client on a full fibre network, a role that will support you with a training pathway that will include external sector accredited courses on underground and overhead PIA, NRSWA, etc, as well as internal training on the Gigaclear network, fibre splicing and testing.
A starting salary of £28,000 to £32,000 dependent upon experience and current qualifications / accreditations.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Field Engineer will then be responsible for a variety of tasks involved in the Break Fix of the Gigaclear FTTH / FTTP network. Works will include traditional (civils / buried) and PIA underground and overhead. The Field Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all works meet Gigaclear standards as well as compliance with NRSWA, SROH and the relevant build, break fix & fibre specifications.

Further to this, we must take steps to ensure that our company vehicle drivers are safe, as such you will not only be required to undergo licence checks and regular monitoring of your driving style, but you will also be required to undergo a drug & alcohol test as part of your onboarding. Your offer of employment will be withdrawn if you fail this drug & alcohol test. Employees will then be required to cooperate with a programme of random drug & alcohol testing throughout their employment.
