Job description
Overview

I am a woman who has existing mental health problems which have worsened due to a brain injury. I often use walking aids and frames to help aid me in my walking if I am in a lot of pain. I love spending time relaxing in the garden but can feel uncomfortable being on my own. I live with arthritis in my spine and herniated discs which can make it difficult to dress lower half. I enjoy crafting and making things however due to nerve damage on my hands this can be a challenge. I have a dog, adult cat and 2 kittens who are litter trained. This advert may close before the stated date if sufficient applications are received.

Responsibilities
  • Light cleaning and tidying to maintain the house and managing and maintaining a habitable home environment
  • Occasional support with hospital appointments and ordering medication online as I struggle to do this on my own
  • Support showering and help getting my lower half dressed
  • Grocery shopping and planning meals, helping batch cooking
  • To support me to become more independent and just generally develop skills to do more for myself
  • To support me on a one-to-one basis
  • To support me to maintain and develop daily living skills
  • To assist me with recreational activities
  • To organise and participate in events, activities and experiences which involve me in the local community in a positive manner
  • To encourage and enable me to make and maintain relationships with friends and family
  • Always uphold respect, dignity, and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • The ability to work on a one-to-one basis
  • The ability to work flexibly to ensure continuity of service
  • The ability to empower me in reaching my full potential in all aspects of independent daily living
