As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.
We are looking to recruit 2 PA positions for this role, both for 24 hours a week. Shifts will be for days, and flexibility will be required across all days of the week to meet the needs of the client. Shifts can be discussed during the interview stage.
Our client is a lovely lady with learning disabilities and severe epilepsy. She lives at home with her parents and requires 24/7 support to effectively manage her needs and ensure her safety.
The client experiences the greatest sense of happiness in her familiar home environment, surrounded by trusted PAs. It is essential that her care is provided in a calming, low arousal setting to promote her well‑being.
She enjoys engaging with the community through visits to local parks and shops. PAs will play a vital role in fostering a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle by encouraging her to take part in the various activities that she enjoys such as jigsaw puzzles, building with blocks, watching television and strolling through her garden.
Additionally, PAs will assist her with personal care, mealtimes and the administration of her medications. We are looking for a support worker who is calm, empathetic and understanding, to provide the quality of support she requires.
