Family Support Worker - Gloucestershire

Rate of Pay: £15.87 per hour (≈ £33,000 per annum)

Shifts: Monday-Friday, varied shifts 9-5 / 10-6 / 8-4 depending on diary

We are seeking a committed, resilient, and hardworking Family Support Worker to join our client's team in Gloucestershire. Attitude, willingness to learn and work hard, and dedication to supporting families are absolutely key in this role.

As a Family Support Worker, you will work directly with children and families across the community—this may include home visits, community work, schools, and office‑based work in either Dursley or Cirencester. You will be responsible for managing your own diary and will carry a caseload of around 12 families. You will report directly to one Team Manager, and a laptop will be issued for your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to children and families
  • Lone working within homes and the community
  • Deliver interventions and support plans
  • Maintain strong safeguarding practice
  • Manage your own diary and caseload effectively
Requirements
  • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Ability to work varied weekday shift patterns (9-5 / 10-6 / 8-4)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong commitment, resilience, and a positive attitude
