Job description

London law firm which is listed in the directories for the work it does in Family law seeks 2 Solicitors/ Barristers of 1 to 4 & 5+ years’ PQE/Call. The successful candidates will have experience in both children and finance matters, and be comfortable handling complex, high-net-worth disputes and confident in both litigation and non-court dispute resolution methods. You will liaise directly with clients, counsel, and other professionals, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism in all aspects of your work. Although you will advise on a variety of Family law matters, the focus of your work will involve financial remedy and private children disputes including case preparation, drafting witness statements, instructing experts, briefing counsel, and preparing documents for contested hearings in compliance with the Family Procedure Rules. Private children disputes will include cross-border children litigation, liaising with ICACU and overseas lawyers, preparing statements and instructions, and responding flexibly to urgent and unpredictable workloads. Financial remedy litigation will include preparation of Forms E, questionnaires, ES1/ES2, draft orders, witness statements, instructions to experts and documents for contested hearings. You will be expected to attend court hearings, FDRs, interim applications and liaise with Counsel as required. You will work closely with Partners, as well as other senior members of the team and collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver high-quality legal advice and exceptional client service. All members of the team are expected to contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.
