Job summary

A UK manufacturing company in Greater London is seeking a factory shop-floor team member responsible for assembling a wide range of products. This role involves prepping items according to specifications, operating relevant machinery, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience with hand and power tools. Standard working hours are from 7am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of using hand tools and/or power tools would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prep items according to supplied specifications and procedures.
  • Complete assembly production steps once trained using relevant tools.
  • Maintain all associated prep equipment to ensure they remain in good working order.
  • Ensure all air tools oiled on a daily basis.
  • Handle materials used on the shop floor in a responsible manner.
  • Follow operational processes for quality assurance.

This is a factory shop-floor based role, working as part of a team you will have a varied role working on the production of a wide range of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prep items according to supplied specifications and procedures.
  • Complete assembly production steps once trained using relevant tools.
  • Maintain all associated prep equipment to ensure they remain in good working order.
  • Ensure all air tools oiled on a daily basis.
  • Ensure any materials used on the shop floor and in the production processes are handled and used in a responsible manner.
  • Follow required operational processes to ensure that a quality product is achieved and minimal secondary work required.
General Responsibilities
  • To always work in a tidy manner.
  • To operate machinery and work in a safe manner considerate of your colleagues and health & safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all chemicals and materials are stored and used in a safe manner.
  • Clean working area on a regular basis through the day in line with cleaning processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to both the company and any customer’s site drug & alcohol policy.
  • Represent DCL in a professional manner both in the factory and on customers’ site.
Skills Required
  • Previous experience of using hand tools and/or power tools would be highly desirable.

Standard factory opening hours are 7am – 3.30 pm Monday – Friday
